Custom Logo FAQ

How long does it take to get a custom logo developed?

The first set of designs will arrive within two business days. Turnaround time for subsequent revisions is also two business days. The total time from your order to delivery of the final logo files depends on how many times you request additional revisions. You receive unlimited revisions so the process continues until you are satisfied. On average it is about a week and a half from order to delivery.

How is my logo delivered?

We have a very cool client area. When you place your order you will receive a username and password to access the logo files in the client area. You can download them and re-download later, if needed.

Who will design my logo?

We're a small team of hard-working, very experienced designers. All design work is done in-house. We do not outsource design work to other designers or to freelancers. We prefer doing it all ourselves so that we can guarantee original designs of the highest possible quality.

Will I own the copyright to my custom logo?

Yes, the copyright is yours. Copyright transfers to you automatically upon finalization of the logo. On request we will also send a copyright transfer certificate to confirm the transfer in writing.

Can I trademark my custom logo?

We highly recommend registering your custom logo as a trademark.

What if I don't like the concept designs?

The concept designs are only to get the ball rolling. Then we move on to the revisions where we can change any aspect of the logo - and we keep experimenting until you are completely satisfied with the result.

If you really don't like any of the concepts enough to select it as a starting point, we will start over and send you a new batch of concept designs. You of course also have the option of a full refund.

Can I edit my logo after it was finalized?

Yes, you can. One of the many logo files we will deliver to you is the original, editable vector art file. You, your printers or any designer with access to vector editing software will be able to make changes to the design. If you would like us to take care of changes after the logo was finalized there is a minimum additional fee of $50, depending on the complexity of the changes.

In what file formats will the logo be delivered?

We deliver the final logo in a range of industry standard print-ready and web-ready files. Specifically:

AI Adobe Illustrator (editable vector art)
CDR CorelDraw CDR file (editable vector art)
PSD Adobe Photoshop file with a transparent background, great for web design.
JPG Three high-resolution JPG files: One in full color, one in black and white and one in grayscale.
PNG PNG format file with a transparent background (proper alpha channel transparency)
GIF Four GIF files at different sizes, handy for web design.
PDF PDF file. Many printers nowadays prefer printing from a PDF file.
Additional file formats available on request and at no extra cost:
EPS Generic EPS file.
BMP BMP file.
FLA FLA/SWF file for use in Flash.
AI TIFF file.

And virtually any other file type you could need.
